Coping Mechanisms

Therapists, inside and outside of prison, often have a line about adapting to your conditions and surroundings in a “prosocial” way. In my experience, I pretty sure that there are some things that beg not to be coped with, but rather raged against. However, because can lead to solitary confinement or another prison term, I wrote a limerick:

A therapist might think it keen
That I've normalized prison routine,
But I think it's rotten
That that's where I've gotten,
Inuring myself to that scene.
